Features

AgCdO is an alloy material that the CdO which has specific morphology and powder size distributed in silver base with specific form (fiber-like, granulated). It has the following merits:

1.Self-arc extinction, low but stable contact resistance. The reinforced phase CdO is easy to decompose in high temperature (Td=900℃). Endothermic decreases the arc energy to cool the contact surface and the gaseous Cd blows out arc and realizes self-cleaning to get stable contact resistance.

2.Excellent arc erosion resistance and fusion welding resistance. The reinforced phase CdO can prevent molten silver from splashing in arcing.

3.High electrical and thermal conductivity.

Properties and application

The material is produced by powder metallurgical process or alloy internal oxidation process.

The product is mainly applied in circuit breaker, electromagnetic switch, miniature switch, motor protector, starter, no fuse breaker, control switch, heavy load breaker, cam switch, etc.
